Just recently level up games just released the free to play server of ragnarok, Valkyrie. As expected thousands of players started playing in it. It’s free to play, just hearing that is enough to make one play ragnarok. I myself tried it and well, it’s alright, no difference from the orinary ragnaro server except for the fact that instead of using your load to buy game time, you buy game items. 11000 players crowd this server just because it will be budget light and will not be any burden to one’s wallet.
There are just two things that I have noted with this server, one bad, one good. The good part is that it is free to play, no cost needed to login and play. Because of this property of the server people crowd this server causing the server to be over populated by addicts who don’t sleep just to stay online and to be able to play with their friends. The bad part is the over population of the server, there is not one map where there is nobody hunting there… In dungeons you cannot kill one monster without being KS’ed… and well, that sucks, it causes players to slow up in levelling up.
Loading cards in your level up account wil not give you any game time for the new server, instead it gives you Rok points, it’s like zeny which you can use to buy items available in the city merchants… I guess that removes some fun in the game since, people won’t be out hunting monsters for rare itmes… T_T… hehehe… it’s not that bad, this way people who are not patient enough to hunt items can just simply buy what they want with their Php…
Definetely, the new server is a big hit to the filipinos. Level up made a very good move in making a free to play server but it would be better if there wasn’t just one server but at least three servers that are free to play, this way we can prevent the problem about overpopulation in a server which results in low levelling rate for players.
